We’re Pup-Up Studio. We take a proper photography studio to where the dogs already are.
We’ve been behind the camera for more than five years, and we’ve loved dogs for a lot longer than that. Lifelong dog people — the kind who lose the thread of a conversation the moment one walks past.
Somewhere along the way we noticed something fairly obvious: almost nobody has a good photo of their dog. Everyone has four thousand pictures on their phone and not one they’d put on a wall. The reason is usually that proper pet photography felt like a whole production — an enquiry, a consultation, a few hundred dollars, and a dog who would definitely misbehave.
So we took the studio to the dogs instead. Same lighting, same camera, same care that goes into a session costing five times as much. Just ten or fifteen minutes at a Saturday or Sunday market, for the price of a decent dinner.
You’ll find us every Saturday at Eumundi Markets and every Sunday at Fishermans Road Market, and at the odd pop-up between Caloundra and Noosa.
